“What were the inspiration and the creation process of this book like?”

Paula McLain decided to take in this amazing adventure of writing about the youth of Ernest Hemingway through his wife eyes when she started to read his memoir – A Moveable Feast.

As McLain was reading A Moveable Feast by Hemmingway-which is a memoir that talked about the author’s younger years in Paris-she was stunned by his last words in the book saying, “I wished I had died before I ever loved anyone but her.” Lonely as it sounded, McLain found herself researching for each of Hemmingway’s and Hadley’s biographies including the love letters they wrote to each other. She eventually fell in love with Hadley’s character and strength as a woman and was instantly overwhelmed by their riveting love
story...
